In 1970 I too was lay ed off by GM, PERMANENTLY after 18 years. Others laid off? let them find a new Job. I did. How does Gettelfingers Salary or $8000.00 yearly pension out pay GM claims compare to my $133.00 per Month pension ?

This is just the start!

Did you not forget the $300 BILLION Housing bailout of last month, the current $641 BILLION Spending Bill, the gifting of Bear Sterns to JP Morgan, and the bailout of FANNIE and FREDDIE.

So long taxpayer rationalizes they (Congress) will not stop robbing you! I like the idea that Congress should put their pension into this plan then they would have a stake in the game!

By the way, I was the former budget writer for a State Governor - at the end of the day politicians only care about being reelected - NOT you!
